The Book of Common Prayer in Ireland: Its Original and History, with an Attempt to Prove that the Disestablishment of the Church Has Not Rendered Any Alteration in it Necessary. A very good copy.

Before 1801, the Prayer Book of the Church of Ireland closely mirrored that of the Church of England. From 1801 until 1871, they were virtually identical, as both churches were united.

However, after 1871, the Church of Ireland gained independence and disestablishment, leading to the development of its own Prayer Book in 1878.

Garstin’s work sheds light on this pivotal transition.
