Facsimile edition of William Carrigan's (1860-1924) definitive history of the Kilkenny diocese. First published by Sealy, Bryers & Walker, in 1905. The actual writing and rewriting of his history (with a quill pen) took six years. In 1903 he was elected to membership of the Royal Irish Academy. When this work was published two years later the Irish Times described it as "A model of what every diocese (history) should possess."
