Offsetting from inserted old newspaper clippings to pages 6-7 otherwise a near fine copy, d.j. with light browning but in very good condition. Ownership name and address neatly written on title page. The address was once the residence on Arthur Griffith. Bartholomew (Batt) O'Connor formed a close friendship with Michael Collins while detained in Frongoch prison camp in Wales. After their release he helped Collins in re-organising the IRB network and the Sinn Féin organisation. He persuaded Collins to go to London to form part of the Anglo-Irish Treaty delegation. He was elected to the Dáil in 1924 and remained a TD until his death in 1935.
